Loose Change - Special edition: Sat on, not slept on

As far as music bloggers go, I think I'm not a very good one. See "real" music bloggers should get the latest and greatest tracks up on the blog before the artists themselves have even heard the final master copy... well that's the general vibe around it. I dont... making me seem like a selfish bastard that sits on tracks and releases for a good long while before sharing it with our dear readers... well this is one half true... who cares what the other half is.

This special edition of loose change catches up on all the great stuff Ive been sitting on... in case you've known better and thought Ive been sleeping on it.
What makes this an even more "special" special edition is that Lapse finally did his first post today... "OMG" "WTF"

My second favourite album of 2k9 gets some special remixes from Turbo records MVPs.

Zombie Nation - Shottieville (Proxy Remix) (Zshare) (Mediafire)
Zombie Nation - Worth It (Arveene & Misk Remix) (Zshare) (Mediafire)
Zombie Nation - Radio Controlled (Hey Today Remix) (Zshare) (Mediafire)

Two big names, I find hilarious for different reasons join forces to create something of monster... spawning some vicious remixes... heres the choice picks

Laidback Luke & Diplo - Hey! (Foamo Remix) (Zshare) (MediaFire)
Laidback Luke & Diplo - Hey! (AutoErotique Remix) (Zshare) (MediaFire)

Bonus:

New Foamo Collab with Lee Mortimer... got a lot of cross over appeal goin for it.

Lee Mortimer & Foamo - Its Goin Down (Zshare) (MediaFire)

The second single from my favorite album this year... and with some very hearty remixes to boot. (sue me now, but puns will make a comeback)

MSTRKRFT feat. John Legend - Heartbreaker (Laidback Luke remix) (Zshare) (MediaFire)
MSTRKRFT feat. John Legend - Heartbreaker (Wolfgang Gartner remix) (Zshare) (MediaFire)

Bonus:
Even though they were in the process of moving their studio, not having any of their gear and proclaiming this a remix they were not at all happy with... I think the Al and Jesse did a pretty dam good job fixing this one...

Keri Hilson feat. Lil Wayne - Turnin me on (MSTRKRFT remix) (Zshare) (MediaFire)

Not sure what to write about this except; D.I.M. is crazy... this track is insane, but kinda renews my hope in techno... if you can even call it that?

D.I.M. & Tai - Lyposuct (Zshare) (MediaFire)

Last but not least... some Wu Tang... remember them? Apparently they have a line of lego products coming out soon... umm anyways...
We should all already have the brilliant remix Yuksek did for UGods new album... but definately not this lost Felix Cartal remix... Its rare and pretty good... good way to end this special edition of loose change... so dont spend it all at once.

U-God - Hips (Felix Cartal Remix) (Zshare) (MediaFire)

Since you've made it reading this far, a quick reminder that Belushi and ShuffleShame are playing tomorrow night at the Milner Park Hotel in Braamfontein... also known as Kitcheners Carvery... peep the details.

Loose Change - Rarities Edition

Seeing as the tradional music industry model of peddling hard goods to an end consumer is broken... where does this leave things? Giving away music for free? Not at all... it means there is a reintroduction of that long lost commodity of the music world... Scarcity...

This edition of Loose Change, I share with ya'll some rare vintage (in blog years) tracks... only now in a high gloss coat of paint... ya know, not a myspace rip or something like that... the real stuff.

Proxy - Ready 2 Rock (Al-P edit) (Zshare) (Mediafire)

The Jump Off - Rack hunters (Mr Miyagi 'Pacman Soul' Remix) (Zshare) (Mediafire)

More Loose Change

Ive told ya'll the story about loose change yeah... nothings really changed (shite pun i know)... i still keep all loose tracks in one folder and Jordan still abuses me for it...

Regardless ya'll be relieved coz now ya'll can afford to get loosely intoxicated from what im about to share...

If memory serves me correctly, I've never mentioned my fascination for all things Russian... Their technology, architecture and cuture fascinate me to no end... its like Russia is a different planet all together... i mean like the Zentraedi to our Macross... So when i first got hold of Russias Riot Music rising star, Proxy's first Ep Decoy... i was entriged by his other worldly take on dance music. It wasnt long until he was everywhere, remixing everybody and signed to Turbo and Boysnoize records. Last year he dropped arguably the hugest anthem of the year entitled "Raven".
Now hes on remix duty for Turbo records boss Tiga... this ones a real monster... you'll probably need to put it in a salt soaked cage.

Tiga - What you need (Proxy Remix - Radio Edit) (Zshare) (Mediafire)

Whats the answer to this posts Russianism? I guess it would be Austin, Texas... and my favourite Texan would have to be Bird Peterson. Ive been into this dudes work for a while now... I split our ShuffleShame mix with his monsterous track "The Essence"... and his remix of Project Pat is so hyphy Jordan cries when i play it... awesome.
He's recently been added to undocumented managements roster and effectively been commissioned to remix for the best. Dont believe me? peep this

MSTRKRFT feat. Lil Mo - It Ain't Love (Bird Peterson Remix - Short edit) (Zshare) (Mediafire)

(peep this track in its fullness of his myspace)

Bonus Beats:

Bird Peterson - Pete Goes Off (Zshare) (Mediafire)
Designer Drugs - Zombie! (Bird Peterson Remix) (Zshare) (Mediafire)

Now im thinking... This post covers artists we aint featured before... so why stop now? And better yet, since im posting about Bird Peterson, why not post some stuff i like that really gets Jordan wound up, since he aint round 'ere often.

Lets start with a Crookers track... that'll just about drive him to murder. Now see there are times where i quite like Crookers work... eventhough its almost a taboo... But ill break that taboo with this next remix they did for MixHell... who happens to be Sepaltura's drummer. Dont get much more legit that right? haha. ok.

Mixhell feat. Oh Snap! - Boom Da (crookers Remix) (Zshare) (Mediafire)

The track above reminds me alot of this one below

Hugo Moya - Move (real techno ya'll!!) (Zshare) (Mediafire)

One last Artist I really must introduce ya'll to is His Majesty Andre. He's from Italy, ya know the place where Pizza and Bloody Beetroot comes from. Hes got this huge track that im really feelin... some call it loop house... i dunno what you call it, but i do know that peeps like Mstrkrft and Atrak play it out nightly...

His Majesty Andre - Peep Thong (Zshare) (Mediafire)

if ya've been payin attention theres another great track of his in our new ShuffleShame mix...

Thats bout all the loose change i can spare today... dont spend it all at once now...

Loose Change...

I cant remember whether Jordan's introduced ya'll to the concept of loose change in a musical sense... see I only put complete EPs and LPs in folders... everything else goes into one gigantic folder of tracks... which means i use media player and itunes to keep track of it all. Jordan hates this and always calls me names coz of it... so every time i give him new music i drop it in a folder called "loose change"... History lesson over...

Anyways since i feel pretty bad for not posting ya'll some amazing tracks in a while [complete lie] i thought i would spare ya some loose change... he ya go, dont spend it all at once...

First up, i dont think ive mentioned before how much i love Surkins work... him and Bobmo are the future for real... heres Surkins latest remix for The Juan Maclean... and my favourite Bobmo track from many a blog year ago...

The Juan Maclean - One Day (Surkin Remix)

Bobmo - To The BobMobile

Yuksek needs no introduction on these pages... (no kidding)... but here is the extended club version of my favourite track off of his debut Album "Away from the Sea"...

Yuksek - Extraball (Original Extended)

My favourite "up n coming" production duo AutoErotique, now on DIMMAK records, create an dangerous club weapon (complete with grown man synths)... from a horrible horrible song...

Chris Cornell - Part of Me (AutoErotique Remix)

... thats all the change i can spare today, i still needa buy smokes... so till next... ciao
