Loose Change - Special edition: Sat on, not slept on

As far as music bloggers go, I think I'm not a very good one. See "real" music bloggers should get the latest and greatest tracks up on the blog before the artists themselves have even heard the final master copy... well that's the general vibe around it. I dont... making me seem like a selfish bastard that sits on tracks and releases for a good long while before sharing it with our dear readers... well this is one half true... who cares what the other half is.

This special edition of loose change catches up on all the great stuff Ive been sitting on... in case you've known better and thought Ive been sleeping on it.
What makes this an even more "special" special edition is that Lapse finally did his first post today... "OMG" "WTF"

My second favourite album of 2k9 gets some special remixes from Turbo records MVPs.

Zombie Nation - Shottieville (Proxy Remix) (Zshare) (Mediafire)
Zombie Nation - Worth It (Arveene & Misk Remix) (Zshare) (Mediafire)
Zombie Nation - Radio Controlled (Hey Today Remix) (Zshare) (Mediafire)

Two big names, I find hilarious for different reasons join forces to create something of monster... spawning some vicious remixes... heres the choice picks

Laidback Luke & Diplo - Hey! (Foamo Remix) (Zshare) (MediaFire)
Laidback Luke & Diplo - Hey! (AutoErotique Remix) (Zshare) (MediaFire)

Bonus:

New Foamo Collab with Lee Mortimer... got a lot of cross over appeal goin for it.

Lee Mortimer & Foamo - Its Goin Down (Zshare) (MediaFire)

The second single from my favorite album this year... and with some very hearty remixes to boot. (sue me now, but puns will make a comeback)

MSTRKRFT feat. John Legend - Heartbreaker (Laidback Luke remix) (Zshare) (MediaFire)
MSTRKRFT feat. John Legend - Heartbreaker (Wolfgang Gartner remix) (Zshare) (MediaFire)

Bonus:
Even though they were in the process of moving their studio, not having any of their gear and proclaiming this a remix they were not at all happy with... I think the Al and Jesse did a pretty dam good job fixing this one...

Keri Hilson feat. Lil Wayne - Turnin me on (MSTRKRFT remix) (Zshare) (MediaFire)

Not sure what to write about this except; D.I.M. is crazy... this track is insane, but kinda renews my hope in techno... if you can even call it that?

D.I.M. & Tai - Lyposuct (Zshare) (MediaFire)

Last but not least... some Wu Tang... remember them? Apparently they have a line of lego products coming out soon... umm anyways...
We should all already have the brilliant remix Yuksek did for UGods new album... but definately not this lost Felix Cartal remix... Its rare and pretty good... good way to end this special edition of loose change... so dont spend it all at once.

U-God - Hips (Felix Cartal Remix) (Zshare) (MediaFire)

Since you've made it reading this far, a quick reminder that Belushi and ShuffleShame are playing tomorrow night at the Milner Park Hotel in Braamfontein... also known as Kitcheners Carvery... peep the details.

Weird Track Wednesday

Yesterday Jordan tried to pursuade me to post something that had caught my ear this last two weeks. There were two problems with this, you see, what could I possibly post after his Terrible Track Tuesday (which, I must add is genuinely terrible) and have it taken seriously in anyway (kinda like Jordans spelling (Hey you speed write articles all day Dickface)). Then there was the fact that I havent really heard anything amazing in the last two weeks that wasnt in some way or another Yuksek related. I think I'm going to have to do another Yuksek post soon because the guy is just on fire.

So not to be out done by Jordans Terrible Track Tuesday, I decided to come up with my own regular slot... Weird Track Wednesday. What I have for you today is definately weird but at the sametime so so so very big at the moment.
Its an act called Dance Area and they have a track called AA 24/7 or ALLWAZE ANYTIME 24/7. What i know about Dance Area is that the project kind of started as a joke or something where "Dirk Boogie" recorded a janitor, at the END nightclub in London, rapping on his Iphone. Then took this back to his studio and made a track.
A few months later Erol Alkan played the dam thing on this Annie Mac show... and the next thing ya know, the track is signed, theres a mountain of remixes and everybody from Treasure Fingers, Jokers of the scene to Diplo were playing it. madness.

I admit its a fun song with an equally fun (but completely dreadful) video, as you can see below... featuring the rising janitorial Rap star, Austin.

You can scoop the original track here in its full glory

Dance Area - AA 24/7 (original mix)

Now Diplo has just dropped his remix today... in its not-quite-full-glory. I like Diplos remix the most outta the lot... its got the trademark Diplo B more club anthemy feel. nice.

Dance Area - AA 24/7 (Diplo remix)

There are other remixes by Starkey, Noob and SkullJuice to fit this track into any dance genre you might fancy...

Be ahead of the herd by clicking on down to Beatport to buy yourself the full quality remixes of this soon to be over played Euro-Kwai-tech anthem. off ya go.
